Reach for Excellence Hosts Parent Workshops for High School Applications

One goal of Reach for Excellence is to support our students on their journey to attend rigorous college preparatory high school programs. Part of that support includes helping parents and families with the application process.

Preparation for the SSAT, the standardized test that is required by many independent schools, is part of our curriculum and all our 8th grade students took the test in January. Throughout the fall, our 8th grade students and parents met with either our Executive Director, Dr. Linda Lehmil, or our Hispanic Initiative Coordinator, Teresa Enriquez Texis, to discuss high school options and to get help with applications.

On January 6, Reach for Excellence hosted a multi-lingual, hands-on training session for families to learn how to use Clarity, the online financial aid application for independent schools.

At Reach for Excellence, we recognize that helping our students Commit to the Climb means that we support their families as well. We look foward to hearing about high school admissions and choices this Spring!
