On Saturday, July 20, the twenty-six members of Cohort 2024 V graduated from Reach for Excellence in the annual Stepping Up ceremony. These students will join the other 508 graduates of the program on their journey to educational excellence and success. In August, these scholars will head to college preparatory independent schools, charter and magnet programs, and public schools across the metro Atlanta area.
The students were inspired by the words of Reach for Excellence graduate Brandon Fountain, Cohort 2011 I, Marist Class of 2015, and M.I.T. Class of 2019. Mr. Fountain shared his path and spoke about the virtues of academic success including authenticity, effort, courage, and wisdom. In addition, students heard from a member of their own cohort, Raphael Tesfit, who is headed to the Gwinnett School of Math, Science, and Technology. Congratulations to these outstanding graduates.
