To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

• Currently be in 6th grade
• Earn primarily As in core academic subjects in 4th and 5th grade.
• Have demonstrated strong academic performance in the MAP test or in the Georgia Milestones test in 5th and 6th grade.
• Demonstrate high financial need.
  ○ Qualify for free or reduced lunch.
• Seek a rigorous high school experience that will challenge them socially and academically.
• Demonstrate curiosity, motivation, and have strong family support

The deadline to apply is January 30, 2026.

Once all required documents have been received, the Reach staff will review your child’s application. Pre-selected students will be invited for an interview and test. This pre-selection does not guarantee acceptance in the Reach for Excellence program

Final decisions will be communicated to the families in March.
